Cheapest Places to Live > Bali on Less than $28 per day

We went to Bali for 30 days and stayed mostly in the greater Ubud area, although we did explore a little bit outside of that area as well. Here is our budget breakdown during that month and how we lived in Bali on less than $28 USD per day per adult. Let us know in the comments section if you have any questions.

Bali, Indonesia

June 30, 2019 - July 29, 2019

Total Number of Days

29 days (29 nights, technically that means we had 30 days)

Total Expense

$1,840.80 USD
NOTE: $1,589.90 not including airfare to Bali - why mention this? Because everyone’s airfare to Bali will be dependent on where they are from. The other expenses - while in Bali - should be comparable for everyone.

Average Daily Cost per Adult

$31.74
NOTE: $27.41 per adult WITHOUT airfare to Bali.

BUDGET BREAKDOWN

Because we spent most of our time in Ubud, most of the things that we did are based around the Ubud area this time. However, there were a few things that we did out near Kuta as well.

Transportation (airlines, taxis, trains, subways, buses, etc.)

  • Airbnbs: $551.07
Our entire time was spent at an Airbnb in Tegallalang near Ubud, Bali. That’s 29 nights for this price - which was quite amazing especially considering everything that was nearby.

$648.71

  • Groceries: $115.95

  • Fast Casual Type Restaurants: $142.48

  • Dine-in (table service) Restaurants (including Warungs): $351.42
